Florida Demands Consistent Care

Tampa Bay's combination of intense UV, saltwater, heat, and humidity is one of the most aggressive environments a boat can live in. Salt accumulates on surfaces after every outing and begins breaking down gelcoat and metal fittings if not rinsed and cleaned regularly. Algae and biological growth take hold quickly in the warm water. UV degrades unprotected surfaces faster than almost anywhere in the country.

A regular maintenance plan keeps these forces from gaining ground. It's also significantly cheaper than letting a boat go — a vessel that's been on a maintenance schedule for two years will need far less correction work than one that gets a single annual detail.

What's Included in a Wash & Maintenance Visit

• Full hull, deck, cockpit, and transom wash down
• Salt removal and freshwater rinse
• Stainless steel and chrome wipe-down and spot polish
• Windshield and window cleaning
• Cockpit and seating wipe-down
• SiO2 polymer sealant application as needed to maintain protection
• Condition report — we flag anything developing that needs attention

Maintenance Plan Frequencies

We offer flexible scheduling based on how often you use your boat and how it's stored:

• Bi-weekly — for liveaboards and vessels used multiple times per week
• Monthly — the most popular option for regular weekend boaters
• Quarterly — for occasional-use vessels or those in covered dry storage

SiO2 Polymer Sealant vs. Ceramic Coating

Our maintenance visits use SiO2-infused polymer sealants — not traditional wax. These provide 3–6 months of hydrophobic UV protection per application and are compatible with ceramic-coated hulls. For boats on a ceramic coating, maintenance visits focus on upkeep rather than protection reapplication, since the coating handles the heavy lifting.
